Honda is gearing up to launch its new midsize SUV, the Elevate, in India soon. The 2023 Honda Elevate will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun in the highly popular segment. Bookings and Launch Date
- Honda has not officially opened the bookings for the Elevate yet, but some dealers have started accepting unofficial bookings for a token amount of Rs 11,000 to Rs 21,000.
- The Elevate made its global debut on June 6, 2023, and the official bookings will commence on the same day.
- The deliveries of the Elevate are likely to start by August 2023, and the estimated price range is Rs 12 lakh to Rs 17 lakh.
Design and Features
- The 2023 Honda Elevate is based on the same platform as the Honda City, but it has a distinct design that is tailored for the Indian market.
- The Elevate will have a more upright and boxy styling, with a flat nose, a tall grille, LED headlights and taillights, roof rails, alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.
- The interior of the Elevate will be spacious and comfortable, with a dual-tone dashboard, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents and a rearview camera.
- The Elevate will also offer some safety features such as ABS with EBD, dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill start assist and vehicle stability assist.
Engine and Mileage
- The Elevate will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. This engine will be shared with the Honda City.
- The Elevate will offer two transmission options: a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
- The mileage of the Elevate is not known yet, but it is expected to be similar to the City, which delivers around 17 kmpl for the manual and 18 kmpl for the CVT variants.
- Honda may also introduce a hybrid version of the Elevate later, which will improve the fuel efficiency and performance of the SUV.
