Renault has unveiled its long-awaited D-segment flagship, the Rafale, a powerful hybrid coupé-SUV that promises to be “a vehicle born and bred for driving pleasure”. Engine, Mileage and Performance
The Rafale will be available with two hybrid powertrains. The first is a 200PS (197bhp) hybrid unit that combines a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors and a small battery. It achieves CO2 emissions of 105g/km and promises 60mpg. The second is a 300PS (295bhp) plug-in hybrid version that adds an additional electric motor on the rear axle, providing all-wheel-drive and boosting performance. The battery will also be much larger, although final specifications are yet to be revealed.

2023 Renault Rafale Interior, Exterior and Features

The Rafale differs from Renault’s current design language, with a more angular and aggressive look. It features a striking new grille, prominent haunches and a long fastback roof that has a special glass that can be darkened at the touch of a button.
