KTM has unveiled its new generation of single-cylinder naked bikes for 2024, and the smallest of the bunch is the 125 Duke. - A new LC4c engine that features a single overhead camshaft, an optimized cylinder head, and a new gearbox. The engine meets the Euro 5.2 emission standards and produces 15 hp at 10,000 rpm and 8.5 lb-ft of torque at 7,750 rpm, which are the same figures as the previous model.
- A new two-piece chassis that consists of a steel trellis frame and a pressure die-cast aluminum subframe. The chassis offers improved torsional rigidity, agility, feedback, stability, and control. The new triple clamps have a revised offset and the seat height has been lowered for greater accessibility.
- A new lightweight swingarm that features an off-center rear shock absorber position to allow for a larger airbox design and a lower seat height. The swingarm also accommodates a new muffler that reduces weight and noise.
- A new WP APEX suspension system that includes a 43 mm open-cartridge non-adjustable front fork with 150 mm of travel and a WP APEX separate piston shock absorber with tool-adjustable preload and 150 mm of travel. The suspension offers excellent handling and comfort on any road condition.
- A new LED headlight that has a distinctive shape and provides excellent visibility in low-light situations. The headlight is flanked by two LED positioning lights that give the bike an aggressive look. The bike also features LED indicators and a LED taillight.
- A new 5-inch bonded glass TFT dashboard that displays all the essential information in a clear and colorful way. The dashboard is paired with a new switch cube that allows easy interaction with all the vehicle functions, including smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The bike also features KTM MY RIDE app that allows riders to play music, take incoming calls, and get turn-by-turn navigation on the dashboard.
- A new bodywork that embraces the naked ethos of the Duke family. The bike has shark-like edges, visible air intakes, painted headlight surround, and color-injected plastics that give it a muscular and sporty appearance. The bike also has a new metal fuel tank, a unique Duke textured seat cover, and new graphics in either Electronic Orange or Atlantic Blue colors.
Launch Date in India
The 2024 KTM DUKE 125 is expected to hit the dealerships in January 2024. The price has not been announced yet, but it is likely to be slightly higher than the current model, which costs $4,899 in the US.
