The Nissan has sold over 3 million Units of Qashqai since its 2006 debut. The 2023 third-generation model, previewed earlier this year, will come in India Soon. The new Qashqai will have a new chassis, design, and hybrid-only powertrains. The engine and mileage of the 2024 Nissan Qashqai will be examined in this blog post.
2024 Nissan Qashqai Engine Options
The 2024 Nissan Qashqai will have two electric petrol powertrains that boost performance, efficiency, and refinement.
1.3-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid
A 12V mild-hybrid 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine is the first option. This system aids engine start-stop, acceleration, and deceleration via a belt-driven integrated starter generator (BISG). The BISG saves braking energy in a battery. A mild-hybrid system can cut CO2 emissions by 4% and boost fuel economy by 9%.
The 1.3-litre engine will have 140PS/240Nm and 158PS/260Nm. The lower output variant will have a 6-speed manual transmission, while the higher output version will have a CVT. The CVT type will offer all-wheel drive with five modes: Standard, Eco, Sport, Snow, and Off-road.
1.5-litre petrol ePower hybrid
The second option is a 1.5-litre petrol ePower hybrid system, a Nissan Innovation in Japan since 2016. Unlike normal hybrids, ePower use the petrol engine to drive the wheels indirectly. Instead, the petrol engine generates electricity to charge a battery and move the wheels using an electric motor. Thus, the petrol engine may operate efficiently and reduce emissions and fuel consumption.
A 1.5-litre petrol engine with 157PS/260Nm, a 1.5kWh battery pack, and an electric motor with 140kW (190PS) and 330Nm torque make up the new Qashqai’s ePower system. The ePower system gives drivers a one-pedal driving mode that boosts regenerative braking and an e-Pedal function that accelerates and decelerates with the accelerator pedal.
2024 Nissan Qashqai Mileage Figures
Nissan has not yet announced the new Qashqai’s mileage, however worldwide data and estimates suggest the following:
|1.3-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid||Manual||Front-wheel-drive||Around 18 kmpl|
|1.3-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid||CVT||Front-wheel-drive||Around 17 kmpl|
|1.3-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid||CVT||All-wheel-drive||Around 16 kmpl|
|1.5-litre petrol ePower hybrid||Automatic||Front-wheel-drive||Around 20 kmpl|
The 2024 Nissan Qashqai will be one of the most modern and efficient small SUVs in India. Its hybrid-only powertrains will combine performance, efficiency, and environmental friendliness, appealing to many buyers.
