2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Expected Launch Date and Price in India

The Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to make its debut in India by late 2023 or early 2024. While the exact price remains undisclosed, it is anticipated to fall within the range of Rs 20-25 lakh. This pricing positions it as a more affordable option compared to the RAV4 and Fortuner but places it in a more premium segment compared to the Urban Cruiser and Innova HyCross.

New Toyota Corolla Cross Expected Engine, Mileage, and Top Speed

The international version of the Corolla Cross features a 1.8-liter petrol engine producing 140 hp and 175 Nm of torque, with an optional hybrid variant combining a 98 hp petrol engine and a 72 hp electric motor. Both versions come with a CVT gearbox.

For the Indian market, Toyota is expected to equip the Corolla Cross with a 2.0-liter M20A-FKS petrol engine and a 2.0-liter M20A-FX hybrid engine, similar to those found in the Innova HyCross. The petrol engine delivers 166 hp and 205 Nm of torque, while the hybrid engine generates 178 hp and 202 Nm of torque. Both engines will be paired with an e-CVT gearbox.

The expected mileage for the Corolla Cross in India is around 15-18 kmpl for the petrol variant and 20-23 kmpl for the hybrid variant. The top speed is estimated to reach around 180-190 kmph.

Dimensions, Boot Space, Ground Clearance, and Seating Capacity

The international Corolla Cross features the following dimensions:

• Width: 1,825 mm
• Height: 1,620 mm
• Wheelbase: 2,640 mm

However, the Indian version will have an extended wheelbase of approximately 2,790 mm, allowing for more legroom and the addition of a third row of seats. The length and height of the SUV may also see slight increases to accommodate this extra space.

The boot space is expected to range from 440-480 liters with all seats up to 1,200-1,400 liters with the second and third rows folded down. The ground clearance is likely to be around 170-180 mm, making it suitable for rough roads and speed bumps.

The Corolla Cross will offer a seating capacity of seven, with two seats in the front row, three in the second row, and two in the third row. Rear seats will be adjustable for added comfort and flexibility, and they can be folded flat to create more cargo space.
