Finally! Tata Punch Score 5-Star Safety Rating in Global NCAP Crash Test
Tata Motors’ much awaited micro SUV Tata Punch is all set to launch on October 18, but the safety rating of this small SUV has been revealed even before the launch.

Tata Punch Safety Rating in Global NCAP Crash Test
Even before the launch, the safety rating of the much awaited Tata Punch micro SUV has been revealed. This small SUV has a 5-star rating for adult safety and a 4-star rating for child safety. The testing model was fitted with two airbags, ABS brakes and ISOFIX anchors. The Tata Punch is the company’s third car to receive a 5-star rating.
Tata Nexon Safety Rating 2021
Earlier, Tata Motors’ Altroz was given a 5 star safety rating in January 2020 and Tata Nexon was also given a 5 star rating in December 2018. The Tata Punch has 16,453 points for adult safety and 40,891 points for child safety.
The security of the Tata Punch can be improved if electronic stability control, side-head effect protection system is given as standard, Global NCAP said. It is also a big decision of Tata Motors to have both child safety guards at the rear, a position that provides maximum protection to 2 children. In the safety test, the head and neck of the driver and passenger received good protection. Both the chest and knees are well protected. Seat belt reminders for drivers and passengers are provided as standard in this car. The car also passed the UN95 side impact test. It has ABS as standard.
Meanwhile, the Tata Punch Micro-SUV will be launched in the Indian market on October 18, 2021. The company has already started booking for this SUV. The car can be booked from the company’s website or from any official dealership with an advance of Rs 21,000.
