Like the Kia Sonet CNG, the Hyundai Venue compact SUV will also get a factory-fitted CNG kit. It is likely to be offered in a powertrain configuration similar to Sonet CNG. The smaller SUV will get a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with factory fitted CNG kit. Compared to the regular variant, this car will offer a little less power and torque.

Korean automaker Kia has started testing the CNG variant of the Sonet Sub-4m SUV in India. Its test mule included GT and T-GDi badges, powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The Sonet CNG will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Its 1.0L turbo engine produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. There will be a slight decline in the power and torque output of Sonet CNG. It will be a rival to the soon-to-be-launched new Maruti Breza, which will also be offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

3. Kia Carens CNG

Kia has started testing the CNG version of the Carens three-row MPV in the Indian market. Detective photos show that Kia has opted for 1.4-liter turbo petrol for the CNG option. The vehicle is also offered with a 1.5L NA petrol engine; However, this engine can be weak for 6-7 passengers with luggage.

The 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine produces 140PS and 242Nm of torque. With factory-fitted CNG kits, the powertrain is expected to produce less power and torque. It will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox standard.
