Honda Elevate Images, Launch Date, Price & Features

Honda Elevate Images: Honda has unveiled its new SUV, the Elevate, in India today. The Elevate is Honda’s first SUV in the Indian market after the discontinuation of the CR-V and the BR-V. Elevate is based on the same platform as the fifth-generation Honda City and shares its 1.5-litre petrol engine with it. The Elevate will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder in the midsize SUV segment.

Honda Elevate Design and Dimensions

The Elevate has a bold and muscular design that draws inspiration from Honda’s global SUVs like the HR-V, ZR-V and CR-V. The front fascia features a large grille with a prominent Honda logo, sleek LED headlights and round fog lamps. The side profile has flared wheel arches, a high waistline and 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear end has wraparound LED tail-lights, a raked windshield and a roof spoiler. The Elevate also has a high ground clearance of 220mm, which is more than most of its rivals.

The Elevate measures 4,312mm in length, 1,650mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,650mm. The boot space is 458 litres, which can be expand by folding the rear seats.

Engine and Transmission

The Elevate is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 119bhp and 145Nm of torque. This is the same engine that powers the Honda City sedan. The engine can be pair with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission. Honda claims that the Elevate offers a smooth and refined driving experience with good fuel efficiency.

Honda will also introduce a hybrid variant of the Elevate later on, which will use a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and a battery pack. The hybrid system will generate 96bhp and 127Nm of torque and will be mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The hybrid variant will offer better performance and lower emissions than the regular petrol variant.

Features and Safety

The Elevate comes loaded with features and technology to attract the urban customers. Some of the key features include:

  • A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, premium speakers and wireless charging
  • A single-pane sunroof that adds to the airy feel of the cabin
  • A 7-inch TFT instrument display that shows various information and alerts
  • Automatic climate control with rear AC vents for comfort
  • Push-button start/stop, keyless entry, cruise control and paddle shifters for convenience
  • Ambient lighting, leather seats, steering wheel and gear knob for premium feel

The Elevate also boasts of Honda’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which is called Honda Sensing. This system offers various safety features such as:

  • Lane keeping assist, which helps the driver stay in the lane by applying steering corrections
  • Adaptive cruise control, which maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead by adjusting speed
  • Road departure mitigation system, which warns the driver if the vehicle is about to leave the road and applies braking if necessary
  • Collision mitigation braking system, which detects potential collisions and applies emergency braking to avoid or reduce impact
  • Lead car departure notification, which alerts the driver if the vehicle ahead has moved
  • Auto high-beam assist, which switches between high and low beams automatically depending on traffic conditions

Apart from these features, the Elevate also has standard safety equipment such as airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, stability control, reversing camera, emergency stop lights, ISOFIX child seat anchors and more.

Honda Elevate Price and Launch

The Honda Elevate will be launched in India around the festive season of 2023. Bookings for the SUV will commence from July 2023. Honda has not revealed the pricing of the Elevate yet, but it is expected to be in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Elevate will be Honda’s flagship product in India and will aim to revive its fortunes in the SUV segment.


The Honda Elevate is a promising SUV that offers a stylish design, a spacious cabin, a refined engine, a hybrid option, a feature-rich infotainment system and a comprehensive safety package. The Elevate will face stiff competition from the established players in the segment, but it has the potential to attract customers who are looking for a premium and reliable SUV from a trusted brand. The Elevate is Honda’s attempt to elevate its position in the Indian market and it will be interesting to see how it fares in the coming months.
