The Honda Elevate will make its global debut in India on June 6, 2023. The company has teased the SUV on its official website and social media platforms, revealing some of its features and design elements. The deliveries for the Elevate are expected to start by late August, while the price announcement is likely to take place in early August.

The Honda Elevate is expected to be priced from around Rs 11 lakh onwards (ex-showroom), making it a premium offering in the segment. Some dealerships have already started taking unofficial bookings for the SUV.

Engine and Mileage

The Honda Elevate will initially come with only one engine option: the 1.5-litre petrol engine that also powers the City sedan. This engine produces 121hp and 145Nm of torque and comes with either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. The mileage figures for the Elevate are not yet revealed, but we can expect them to be similar to the City’s 17.8kmpl (manual) and 18.4kmpl (CVT).

The Honda Elevate will also get a strong hybrid powertrain option at a later date, which will use a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a battery pack. This powertrain will offer 126hp and 253Nm of torque and will come with a CVT automatic gearbox only. The hybrid variant will offer better fuel efficiency and lower emissions than the petrol-only variant.

Honda Elevate Features

  • The Honda Elevate will come with a host of features to attract buyers in the segment.
  • Some of the confirmed features include a single-pane sunroof, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), a 360-degree camera.
  • LED headlights and taillights, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger.
  • Automatic climate control and possibly ventilated front seats.
  • The SUV will also offer six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child mounts and other safety features as standard or optional.

The spy shots suggest that the Elevate will have an upright design with a high-set bonnet, a flat roofline and a mildly slanting rear glass area. The SUV will also have some rugged elements like skid plates, roof rails and cladding on the wheel arches and lower body. The alloy wheel design will resemble the ones seen on the City.

Honda Elevate Dimensions

The dimensions of the Honda Elevate are not yet revealed, but we can expect it to be similar in size to its rivals like the Creta and Seltos.

The Honda Elevate is one of the most awaited launch of 2023 in India. The SUV will offer a premium design, a spacious cabin, a powerful petrol engine and a hybrid option, along with many features and safety equipment. The Elevate will be Honda’s do or die product in India, as it aims to regain its lost market share and reputation in the country. The SUV will face tough competition from established players like Hyundai, Kia, Skoda and Maruti, but it could also attract new customers who are looking for a refined, reliable and feature-rich mid-size SUV.
