New colors and British style
The Venue now offers seven colour options in Taiwan, including some vibrant and classic British-inspired shades like Oxford Green and London Red. These colours are complemented by a contrasting white roof and white inserts in the lower bumper. The Venue also features a 3D Britain’s coat of arms (flag) on the tailgate and on the seats, where it is debossed.
The seats are made of part leather and part checkered wool fabric, which gives a classic British feel to the cabin. The same checkered pattern is also seen on a British-style storage box in the boot. The other colour options available are Grey Grey, Tiffany Blue, Jennifer Wong (Yellow), Super Circle Powder (Pink) and White Black.
Hyundai Venue ADAS Safety and drive modes
The Venue in Taiwan also gets Hyundai Smartsense ADAS tech, which includes features like forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, driver attention warning and high beam assist. These features enhance the safety and convenience of the driver and passengers.
The Venue also offers six drive modes for different driving scenarios: Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud and Sand. These modes adjust the engine, transmission and steering characteristics to suit the road conditions and driver’s preference.
Engine and design
The Venue in Taiwan is powered by a 1.6L 4-cylinder NA petrol engine that produces 120 bhp and 154 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-step IVT (intelligent variable transmission) that offers smooth and efficient performance.
The Venue in Taiwan still retains the pre-facelift design, unlike the Indian model that has received a facelift recently. The Taiwan-spec model has the older steering wheel and lacks the fully digital instrument screen that the Indian model has. However, it features 17-inch alloy wheels, which are an inch larger than those in India.
