Kia India is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of its popular compact SUV, the Seltos, in the country. The updated model will feature some cosmetic changes, new features and possibly a new engine option. The carmaker has not officially announced the bookings for the Kia Seltos facelift, but some dealerships have started accepting unofficial bookings for a refundable token amount of Rs. 25,000. The Seltos facelift will sport a revised front fascia with a new grille that has integrated LED DRLs, redesigned LED headlamps and larger air dams. The rear end will also get a makeover with a new connected LED tail lamp design. The alloy wheels will also be updated with a new pattern. One of the major additions to the Seltos facelift will be a panoramic sunroof, which is currently missing in the outgoing model.
Interior & Safety
The interior of the Seltos facelift will also get some upgrades, such as a twin-display setup with a large touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver’s display. The SUV will also come with Kia’s connected car technology that offers 58 smart features, such as remote engine start/stop, geo-fencing, live location tracking and more. The Seltos facelift will likely retain the same BS6-compliant engine options as the current model, which include a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit. However, there are rumours that Kia might replace the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that is more powerful and efficient. The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, a 7-speed DCT and an iMT (intelligent manual transmission) that offers clutch-less shifting.
