According to a recent report, the current waiting period for the Seltos ranges from three weeks to 28 weeks, depending on the variant and the city. The longest waiting period is for the GTX+ diesel variant, which is the top-spec model with features like a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Bose sound system, ventilated seats, and more. The other diesel variants have a waiting period of up to 12 weeks, while the petrol variants can be delivered in three weeks.

However, if you are willing to wait for a few more weeks, you might be able to get the facelifted version of the Seltos, which is expected to be launched in India on July 4. The Seltos facelift was unveiled globally in June 2020, and it comes with several cosmetic and feature updates. Here are some of the key changes that you can expect from the new model:
- A wider and more aggressive front grille with chrome inserts
- A redesigned front bumper with a lower air dam and a scuff plate
- New LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs
- New LED tail lamps connected by an LED light bar
- A revised rear bumper with faux skid plate and dual exhaust tips (in GT Line trim)
- New dual-tone alloy wheels
- A new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
- A rotary dial for automatic transmission
- A new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine option

Engine
The Seltos facelift is likely to be offered with the same powertrain options as the current model, except for the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will be replaced by the new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The other engines include a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, a CVT, a 6-speed torque converter, and a 7-speed DCT.
The prices of the Seltos facelift are expected to be announced by the end of July. The current model is priced from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 18.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted model is likely to command a premium over the existing model, owing to the additional features and technology.
The Seltos facelift will compete with other mid-size SUVs in India, such as the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Mahindra XUV700, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
