NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the single entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other medical courses in India. NEET 2023 is expected to be conducted in May 2023 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The result of NEET 2023 will be declared by June 2023. The counselling process for NEET 2023 will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges and 100% seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER and BSc Nursing programs. The state authorities will conduct the counselling for 85% state quota seats in government colleges and 100% seats in private colleges.

How to Apply for NEET 2023 All India Quota Counselling Process (AIQ)?
The NEET 2023 counselling process will be held online and will consist of the following steps:
Step 1: Registration
The eligible candidates will have to register on the official website of MCC (mcc.nic.in) using their NEET roll number, application number, name, date of birth and security pin. They will have to create a password and verify their mobile number and email ID. They will also have to pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit through online mode. The fee structure is given below:

Step 2: Choice filling and locking
After registration, the candidates will have to fill in their preferences of courses and colleges from the available list. They can choose as many options as they want in order of their priority. They can also modify or delete their choices before locking them. Once they lock their choices, they cannot change them later. The choice filling and locking will be done for each round of counselling separately.
Step 3: Seat allotment
Based on the choices filled by the candidates, their NEET rank, seat availability and reservation criteria, the MCC will allot seats to the candidates. The seat allotment result will be published on the MCC website and the candidates will also receive an SMS and email regarding their allotment status. The candidates can download their provisional allotment letter by logging into their account.
Step 4: Reporting to the allotted college
The candidates who are allotted a seat will have to report to the allotted college within the specified time period along with their original documents and a set of photocopies for verification and admission. The documents required are:
- NEET 2023 admit card
- NEET 2023 scorecard
- Provisional allotment letter
- Class 10 certificate and mark sheet
- Class 12 certificate and mark sheet
- Identity proof (Aadhaar card/PAN card/Passport/Driving license)
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- EWS certificate (if applicable)
- Migration certificate
- Six passport size photographs
The candidates will also have to pay the admission fee at the allotted college. If they fail to report or pay the fee within the stipulated time, their seat will be cancelled and they will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling.
Step 5: Participation in subsequent rounds
The candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seat or who did not get any seat can participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling by opting for upgradation or fresh choice filling respectively. The candidates who want to retain their allotted seat can also participate in the next round by opting for upgradation without losing their current seat. However, if they get a better seat in the next round, they will have to forfeit their previous seat.
The MCC will conduct two rounds of counselling followed by a mop-up round for vacant seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS and BSc Nursing programs. After that, a stray vacancy round will be conduct by the respective colleges for the remaining seats.
