Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, is all set to launch its new flagship motorcycle, the Hero Karizma XMR 210, on August 29, 2023. The Karizma brand, which was discontinued in 2019 due to poor sales and stiff competition, is making a comeback with a completely new and improved model that promises to deliver a thrilling and premium riding experience. The company has been teasing the features and design of the upcoming motorcycle through various social media platforms, creating a lot of excitement and curiosity among the fans and enthusiasts. Name:
The name of the new motorcycle is confirmed to be Hero Karizma XMR 210, as revealed by the company’s official website. Aslo name XMR stands for Xtreme Moto Racing, indicating the sporty and performance-oriented nature of the bike. The name also pays homage to the original Karizma, which was launched in 2003 and became one of the most popular and iconic motorcycles in India.
Design:
The design of the new Hero Karizma XMR 210 is inspired by the Hero HX250R concept, which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The new bike features a sharp and aggressive styling, with a full-fairing, a large windscreen, fairing-mounted mirrors, clip-on handlebars, a muscular fuel tank, a split-seat arrangement, a sleek tail section with ducts, and an underbelly exhaust. The bike also sports LED lighting all around, including a dual-projector headlamp with DRLs, LED indicators, and LED tail lamp. The bike will be available in two colors: yellow and red.
Features:
The new Karizma XMR 210 will come with a host of smart features and functions, thanks to the SmartXonnect cluster supporting app for smartphones. The app will allow the users to pair their bike with their phone and access information like ride stats, remote battery charge status, geo-fencing, navigation, incoming call alerts, music control, and more. The bike will also have a USB charging port, a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS (a Hero first), and Q-park assist, which will help the riders while parking the vehicle with an easy to control and modulate reverse function.
Performance:
The new Hero Karizma XMR 210 will be powered by an all-new, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 210cc. The exact power and torque figures are not revealed yet, but they are expected to be in the range of 24-28 PS and 25-30 Nm respectively. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox and will offer three riding modes: Eco, City, and Xonic. The Xonic mode will be the fastest and most aggressive mode, enabling the bike to reach a top speed of 150 kmph. The bike will also have a slipper clutch for smooth gear shifts and reduced wheel hop during aggressive downshifts. The bike will have a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear for suspension duties. The braking system will consist of disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
Price:

The price of the new Hero Karizma XMR 210 is not announced yet, but it is likely to be in the range of Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
