The Hero Xpulse 400 is expected to launch in India in October 2024, with an expected price range of Rs. 1,70,000 – Rs. 1,90,000. It will be powered by a 421 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that will make about 40 PS and 40 Nm of torque. That’s a significant jump from the 18 PS and 16.4 Nm of the Xpulse 200.

The bike will feature a large fuel tank, with an expected capacity of over 15 litres. That means you can go longer without refueling and enjoy your rides more. The bike will also have a long-travel upside down fork and monoshock, as well as front and rear petal rotors. These will ensure a smooth and stable ride on any surface.

Hero Xpulse 400 Safety Features

The Xpulse 400 will also come with a fully digital display, which could offer features like Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging, switchable ABS and fully adjustable suspension. These features are already offered with the Xpulse 200, but they could be improved for the Xpulse 400. There might also be features like traction control and cornering ABS, as the test mule was seen with a four-way switch cube on the left side switchgear. These features will enhance the safety and performance of the bike.

Hero Xpulse 400 Variants

The bike will probably be offered in two variants: a road-focused variant and an off-road-focused one. This is similar to what the company did with the Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200T. The road-focused variant will have alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, while the off-road-focused variant will have spoke wheels and tubed tyres. The off-road variant will also have a higher ground clearance and seat height than the road variant.

New Competition

The look and features of the Xpulse 400 will be inspired by the BMW G310 GS, which is also manufactured by Hero MotoCorp in India. The bike will have a big bike look, with a muscular fuel tank, a tall windscreen, a round headlamp, a high-mounted exhaust and a luggage rack. The bike will also have LED lights, knuckle guards, engine guard and bash plate.
