Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in India, thanks to its stylish design, spacious cabin, feature-rich equipment and powerful engine options. The second-generation Creta was launch in March 2020 and has been ruling the segment ever since. However, Hyundai is not resting on its laurels and is planning to launch a facelifted version of the Creta by End of 2023. Moreover, the company is also testing a CNG-powered variant of the Creta, which could be a more economical and eco-friendly option for the buyers. The Creta facelift will feature a heavily reworked front-end, inspired by the new Hyundai Tucson. The most noticeable change is the new ‘parametric grille’ that covers the entire width of the car and integrates the LED DRLs in a unique way. The headlights are also position lower on the bumper and have a more rectangular shape than before. The rear end of the Creta facelift will also get some tweaks, such as sharper taillights, a redesigned boot lid and a new bumper. The facelifted Creta will also get new 17-inch alloy wheels to complete the look.

What are the changes in the interior of the Creta facelift?

The interior of the Creta facelift will largely retain the same layout and design as the current model, but with some new features and updates. The most notable addition is the new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, similar to the one seen in the Alcazar. The infotainment system will also get an updated version of Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology, which will offer new safety features like stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilisation, valet parking mode and more.

The Creta facelift will also come with ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) that will include features like lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist and autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance on the top-spec trim. However, it is not confirm if these features will be offer in India or not. Other than that, the Creta facelift will continue to offer a panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats, ambient lighting and an air purifier.

The Creta CNG will continue to be the same set of engines as the current model, which include a 1.5-litre MPi petrol, a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel and a 1.4-litre tGDi turbo petrol engine. These engines will be pair with various transmission options like a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, a 6-speed IVT and a 7-speed DCT unit. However, the most interesting addition to the engine lineup will be a CNG-powered variant of the Creta. Also Hyundai Creta CNG Launch will launch soon in India.

According to some spy shots, Hyundai has been testing a lower-spec CNG-fitted Creta variant on Indian roads. This is not the first time Hyundai has tested CNG compatibility with its vehicles; previously, the Alcazar and Venue were also spotted with CNG equipment. However, there are no official updates on these vehicles yet. The CNG variant of the Creta could be power by version of the 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine and could offer better fuel efficiency and lower emissions than the regular petrol variant.

What will be the price and launch date of the Creta facelift?

The Creta facelift May be launch in India by End of 2023. The price of the facelifted Creta could be higher by at least Rs 50,000 than the current model. The current model ranges from Rs 10.50 lakh to Rs 18.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The CNG variant of the Creta could be price slightly lower than the petrol variant, but higher than the diesel variant. The Creta facelift will continue to compete with rivals like Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
