The Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in India, thanks to its spacious cabin, feature-rich interior and powerful engine options. The second-generation Creta was launch in March 2020 and has been selling well ever since. However, Hyundai is not resting on its laurels and is planning to launch a facelifted version of the Creta by End of 2023. Creta Facelift Exterior Look

The new Creta will sport a heavily reworked front-end, inspired by the latest Hyundai Tucson. The most noticeable change is the new ‘parametric grille’ that covers the entire width of the car and integrates the LED DRLs in a fin-shaped pattern. The headlights are place lower on the bumper and have a more rectangular shape than before. The rear of the Creta also gets some tweaks, such as sharper taillights, a re-profiled boot lid and a redesigned plastic panel that connects the two taillights. The new Creta will also get new 17-inch alloy wheels to complete the look.

The cabin layout of the new Creta will remain largely unchanged from the current model, but it will get some new features and a new colour scheme. The highlight of the interior is the new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that is similar to the one seen in the Alcazar. The infotainment system will also get an update with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology that offers features like stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilization, valet parking mode and more. Other features that will continue to be offered on the new Creta are panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats, ambient lighting and air purifier.

The same engines will power the new Creta. A 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine provides 115hp and 144Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine produces 115hp and 250Nm. And a 1.4-litre tGDi turbo petrol engine produces 140hp and 242Nm. The transmission options will also remain unchanged. It Will Get a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission). Also 6-speed IVT (intelligent variable transmission) and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) on offer.

Safety
One of the major additions to the new Creta is the introduction of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) that will offer features like lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist and autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance on the top-spec trim. These features will enhance the safety and convenience of driving the new Creta on various road conditions. The new Creta will also get standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear view camera and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Hyundai Creta Facelift Price & Competition
The Hyundai Creta Facelift is expected to be launched in India by End of 2023 and will be showcased at the Auto Expo before that. The price of the new Creta is likely to be higher than the current model by at least Rs 50,000. The current model ranges from Rs 10.16 lakh to Rs 17.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
