The new Tata Safari will be power by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that powers the Harrier, but with a higher output of 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The engine will be either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The new Safari will also have three drive modes (Eco, City and Sport) and three terrain response modes (Normal, Rough and Wet), along with hill descent control and electronic stability program.
The new Tata Safari will have a host of safety features, such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors and more. The new Safari will also have disc brakes on all four wheels and a larger fuel tank capacity of 60 litres.
