XUV300 Facelift Price in India
The pricing and availability details of the updated XUV300 will be announced during the launch event. We expect the SUV to carry a premium over the outgoing model, which starts at Rs. 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The facelifted model could be priced between Rs. 8.76 lakh and Rs. 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and engine option.
XUV300 Facelift Features
The XUV300 facelift will come with several cosmetic and feature updates to make it more attractive and competitive in the segment. Some of the expected changes are:
- A new front fascia with C-shaped LED headlamps, a two-part grille and a larger air intake.
- A new rear design with a revised tailgate, bumper and tail-lamps.
- New alloy wheel design and possibly new colour options.
- A revamped dashboard with a new touchscreen infotainment system, possibly with some elements from the XUV700’s AdrenoX suite.
- More equipment such as wireless charger, ventilated seats and digital driver’s display.
The XUV300 facelift will also get a new engine option – a 1.2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces 130hp and 230Nm of torque. This engine will be more powerful and efficient than the current 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 110hp and 200Nm of torque. The current engine will likely continue in lower variants of the XUV300 facelift. The 1.5-litre diesel engine that delivers 117hp and 300Nm of torque will also be carried forward unchanged.
The gearbox options for the XUV300 facelift are not confirmed yet, but we hope that Mahindra will replace the AMT with a torque converter or a dual-clutch automatic transmission for both petrol and diesel engines.
The XUV300 facelift will compete with other compact SUVs in the market such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and Maruti Vitara Brezza. Here is a comparison table of their prices and specifications:
