In India, Tata Motors is doing well in the electric vehicle segment. The company’s popular SUV Tata Nexon Electric has become the best-selling electric car in the country. Tata Upcoming Electric cars in India 2021

Tata Altroz Electric:

Tata Motors had introduced the electric version of the premium hatchback car Ultra at the last Auto Expo. According to reports, the company may launch this car this year. The car can use a 30.2 kWh capacity battery pack. This has been experimented with in Nexon Electric. The Ultras will provide a driving range of 250 to 300 km on a single charge. This battery can be easily charged with regular home charger and DC fast charger. The battery can be charged up to 80% in just 1 hour. The company may offer ZConnect app connected car feature.

Tata HBX Electric:

Tata Motors will soon launch another electric car. The company had introduced the HBX Electric micro SUV during the last Auto Expo. The company will introduce an electric version after the petrol engine variant. The company may launch the car between 2022 or 2023. This mini SUV also comes with Ziptron technology. It can be packed with a 30.2kWh capacity lithium battery pack. However, no official information has been given about its mechanism yet. The car is expected to have a driving range of up to 300 km on a single charge.

Upcoming Mahindra electric cars in India 2021

Mahindra XUV300 Electric:

Mahindra & Mahindra may also introduce some new models in the electric vehicle segment. The company had presented an electric version of its popular model XUV300 at the Auto Expo. In the market, this SUV will be in direct competition with Tata Nexon Electric. According to reports, the company may offer this SUV in two variants. The standard variant will offer a driving range of 200 km on a single charge and the long range variant 375 km. The SUV will be based on the Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture 350 (MESMA) platform. The company has built this platform in-house.

Mahindra KUV100 Electric:

Mahindra KUV100 is also preparing to bring an electric version. The SUV will be seen running on the road later this year. It is expected to be the cheapest electric car in the country after launch. The company will use a 40 kW electric motor, which generates 53 bhp of power and 120 Nm of torque. It comes with a 15.9 kWh lithium battery pack. The SUV will offer a driving range of about 120 km on a single charge. It will also have a fast charging system.
