Battery, Motor and Range
The Tata Tigor EV and the Tata Punch EV both use the Ziptron technology, which consists of a lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor. However, they have different specifications and performance.
The Tigor EV has a 26 kWh battery pack that powers a 75 PS electric motor that delivers 170 Nm of torque. The Tigor EV has an ARAI-rated range of 315 km on a full charge. The Tigor EV can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 8.5 hours using a standard wall charger and in 60 minutes using a 25 kW DC fast charger.
The Punch EV is expected to have a larger battery pack than the Tigor EV, possibly around 30 kWh. The Punch EV will also have a more powerful electric motor than the Tigor EV, possibly around 100 PS. Price and Variants – Tigor EV vs Tata Punch EV
The Tata Tigor EV is priced from Rs. 12.49 lakh to Rs. 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). It is offered in four variants: XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. The Tigor EV comes with a 3-year/1.25 lakh km warranty on the vehicle and an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty on the battery.
The Tata Punch EV is expected to be priced around Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It is likely to be offered in three variants: XM, XZ and XZ+. The Punch EV will also come with a similar warranty package as the Tigor EV.
