South Korea’s leading automaker Kia has unveiled its new generation Kia Niro 2022 at the 2021 Seoul Mobility Show. This crossover comes with brand new design language and up-market interior. It has three powertrain options. The Kia Niro 2022 is equipped with eco-friendly materials, advanced technology and electric powertrain, which meets the real needs of the customers, the company said. According to reports, the company is expected to launch the crossover in India in 2023.
The new Niro redesigns the company’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grill. Kia Niro’s design is largely inspired by the HabaNiro concept, which was unveiled at the 2019 New York Motor Show. Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Face’ is in this crossover with dual tone paint scheme. In addition, the LED DRL, upright windows, sporty C pillars and boomerang-shaped taillamps provided in the car make the car look great in terms of looks.
Use of Eco-Friendly Materials –
Recycled material is used in Niro’s interior. Including recycled wallpapers. The seats in the crossover are made of eucalyptus leaves, while the door panels use a water-based paint coating.
Ambient Mood Lighting and Electronic Gearshift Dial
Like the new Kia cars, it also comes with an asymmetrical center console and dashboard. The crossover seats are slim and light, and the headrest also has coat hangers on the back. Nero features ambient moon lighting and electronic gearshift dials for a premium feel.
Kia Niro 2022 Drive Modes
The Kia Niro is presented in three powertrain options. It offers options like Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Pure Electric. However, unlike Kia’s other new electric cars, the car is not based on the E-GP platform. The crossover comes with Greenzone drive mode, and automatically transfers (P) HEV to EV mode.
