The Kia Seltos Facelift was globally unveiled in June 2022 at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, and is expected to be launched in India by mid-2023. The Seltos Facelift has been spotted testing in Hyderabad recently. The Mahindra XUV700 was introduced on August 14, 2021, and its launch take place on October 2, 2021.

The Kia Seltos Facelift is likely to be priced slightly higher than the current model, which starts from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant and goes up to Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant. The Seltos Facelift may also get some additional features and a new engine option, which could increase its price further.

Mahindra XUV700 On Road Price

The Mahindra XUV700 has been announced with a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the MX series (MT, petrol, 5-Seater) and Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the AX series (MT, petrol, 5-Seater). The XUV700 also comes with four trim lines: MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7, and a luxury pack option for the AX7 variant. The on road price of both these SUVs will depend on factors such as taxes, insurance, registration and accessories.

Engine

The Kia Seltos Facelift will come with a new 160hp, 253Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that will replace the existing 140hp, 242Nm 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The current turbo-petrol engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual, but it remains to be seen which gearbox options will be available on this new engine.

The Seltos Facelift will also come with the existing 115hp, 144Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 115hp, 250Nm 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. Both engines get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed iMT gearbox, while the petrol and diesel also get a CVT gearbox and 6-speed automatic gearbox option, respectively.

The Mahindra XUV700 is available in both 2-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options, which are mated to either manual or automatic transmissions. The petrol engine produces 200hp and 380Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces either 155hp and 360Nm of torque or 185hp and 420Nm of torque depending on the variant.

The Kia Seltos Facelift is expected to have a similar mileage as the current model, which ranges from 16.1 kmpl to 20.8 kmpl depending on the engine and transmission option. The Mahindra XUV700 is have a mileage of around 15 kmpl for the petrol variants and around 18 kmpl for the diesel variants.

Interior & Safety Features

The Kia Seltos Facelift will get a redesigned dashboard with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that is attached in the same housing as the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The automatic gearbox equipped Seltos Facelift will also get a rotary dial instead of a conventional gear lever. The Seltos Facelift will also get features like navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving assistance, surround view monitor, automatic high beams and remote smart parking assist. Safety features include six airbags, hill assist control, vehicle stability management, parking sensors and camera as well as tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Mahindra XUV700 also get a dual-screen setup with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AdrenoX Connect app that offers over 70 connected features. The XUV700 will also get features like Amazon Alexa built-in integration, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, driver drowsiness detection, intuitive drive modes and smart clean zone. Safety features include seven airbags, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), electronic stability program, LED headlamps and tail-lamps, blind view monitoring and cornering lamps.
