The Mahindra Thar is a popular off-roader in India, which was launched in its second-generation avatar in 2020. The new Thar has been a huge success for the Indian SUV maker, with over 1 lakh units produced and over 50,000 bookings received so far. However, some buyers may find the three-door Thar too cramped and impractical for daily use. That’s why Mahindra is working on a 5 door version of the Thar, which is expected to be launched in 2024.
