The Kia Seltos is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in India, thanks to its stylish design, feature-rich cabin and powerful engine options. However, the Seltos is about to get even better with a facelift that will be launched in India on July 4, 2023. The Seltos facelift will get some cosmetic updates, new features and a new turbo-petrol engine that will make it more competitive in the segment. Here are the details of the upcoming Seltos facelift model engine and mileage.
Seltos Facelift Engine Options
The Seltos facelift will continue to offer two engine options that are currently available in the market – a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 116 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
However, the Seltos facelift will also get a new and more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that will replace the 1.4-litre turbo unit that was discontinued earlier due to BS6 Phase 2 norms. The new turbo-petrol engine will produce 158 hp and 253 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful engine in the segment. The turbo-petrol engine will be paire with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Seltos Facelift Mileage
The mileage figures of the Seltos facelift are not officially reveal yet, but we can expect them to be similar to the current model. The current Seltos has an ARAI-certified mileage of 16.8 kmpl for the petrol manual, 16.5 kmpl for the petrol automatic, 20.8 kmpl for the diesel manual and 17.8 kmpl for the diesel automatic. The new turbo-petrol engine may have a slightly lower mileage than the outgoing 1.4-litre unit, but it will offer better performance and drivability.
