Performance and Range Upcoming Tata Punch EV

The Tata Punch EV will be based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform that also underpins the Altroz hatchback. The Punch EV will be powered by the same Ziptron electric motor that powers up the Tiago and Tigor EV but with slightly different tuning and higher power output figures.

The Ziptron electric motor is capable of delivering 75 kW (102 PS) of power and 170 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a single-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The Ziptron technology also includes features like regenerative braking, hill ascent and descent assist, creep function, sport mode, and drive modes.

The Tata Punch EV will be equipped with a lithium-ion battery pack that will offer a range of around 250 km on a single charge. The battery pack will support fast charging as well as slow charging options. The fast charging option will allow the Punch EV to charge from 0 to 80% in about an hour using a DC charger. The slow charging option will take about eight hours to fully charge the battery using an AC charger.
