Tata Sierra is a futuristic electric SUV concept that pays homage to the iconic three-door Sierra of the past, with a modern and sleek design and a spacious and luxurious interior.
Tata Sierra will be powered by the Ziptron EV technology, which promises a long-range, fast-charging and high-performance electric drivetrain, with a battery pack of over 30 kWh and a range of over 400 km on a single charge.
Tata Sierra will come with a host of advanced features and connectivity options, such as a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, wireless charging, voice control and cloud-based services.
Tata Sierra will feature a panoramic sunroof that extends from the front to the rear, giving a sense of openness and airiness to the cabin, as well as a signature wraparound glass area that creates a distinctive silhouette.
Tata Sierra will also offer a high level of safety and security, with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold and descent control, traction control, electronic stability program and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and blind spot detection
Tata Sierra will be based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform, which is designed to accommodate different body styles, powertrains and technologies. The platform also ensures optimal weight distribution, low centre of gravity and high torsional rigidity for better handling and performance.
Tata Sierra is expected to be launched in India by 2024, with an estimated price of around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with other electric SUVs such as the Hyundai Kona Electric, the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 EV.
