The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is the upcoming adventure motorcycle from the iconic Indian brand, expected to launch in late 2023 or early 2024.
The Himalayan 450 will be Royal Enfield's first liquid-cooled engine-powered model, featuring a 450cc single-cylinder engine that is expected to produce around 40 BHP and 45 Nm of torque.
The bike will also have a 6-speed gearbox, a ride-by-wire throttle, and a switchable traction control system for better performance and control.
The Himalayan 450 will sport an all-new fully-digital instrument cluster, with a circular pod that displays the tachometer, speedometer, gear indicator, and other data. It will also have a Tripper navigation pod that connects to the Royal Enfield app via Bluetooth and provides turn-by-turn directions powered by Google Maps.
The bike will retain the overall design of the current Himalayan, but with some cosmetic changes such as an LED headlight, rear indicators that double up as tail lamps, and new colour options.
The bike will also have a tour-minded design, with a new improved seat, mounting points for panniers and jerry cans, and a USB port for charging devices. The bike will also have a switchable ABS system that can be turned off at the rear wheel for more fun on off-road surfaces.
The Himalayan 450 will be one of the most anticipated motorcycles in the adventure-touring segment, competing with the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure wire-spoke wheel variant and the BMW G 310 GS.
