Upcoming Electric Scooter: In view of the growing demand for electric vehicles, many two-wheeler companies are all set to launch their new electric scooters in India. From Hero MotoCorp to Ola, several companies are stepping into the electric vehicle segment.

The demand for electric vehicles has increased significantly in the last few days. In the two-wheeler segment, consumers are preferring electric vehicles. Earlier last year, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor introduced their Chetak and iCube electric scooters. Many new electric scooters will be launched in the next few months.

Veteran Hero MotoCorp is also set to step into the electric scooter segment. According to reports, Hero MotoCorp may introduce its first electric two-wheeler by 2022. Apart from this, Suzuki and cab service company Ola are also preparing to launch their electric scooters. Let’s learn about these scooters that will be launched in the near future.

1) Ola Electric Scooter

Ola has recently announced the launch of its first electric scooter in the Indian market. Last month, Ola bought an Amsterdam-based electric scooter manufacturer, Etergo BV. According to reports, the company is using Etergo’s famous App Scooter technology in its new scooter. However, no concrete information has come to light yet. The report claims that it will use the swappable battery pack used in the Etergo App Scooter. Which offers a driving range of 240 km on a single charge. The company is expected to launch the scooter in July.

2) Suzuki Burgman Electric

Japanese two-wheeler company Suzuki is also set to launch an electric scooter in India this year. The company is expected to launch the electric model of its popular scooter Burgman in India. However, the company has not yet given any information about its mechanism. Based on the testing model, it is expected to get modern features along with LED headlamps. The company may launch this scooter early next year.

3) Simple Energy Scooter

Bangalore-based startup Simple Energy has announced that it will launch its new scooter Mark 2 (codename) in the local market. The company may launch the scooter on August 15. The company is using a 4.8 kW capacity battery pack. This scooter can give a driving range of about 240 km on a single charge. Not only this, with the help of speed you can do great things. According to reports, the scooter can reach a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. Its top speed will be 100 km per hour.

4) Hero Motocorp Electric Scooter

Hero MotoCorp recently partnered with Gogoro, a battery swapping network and electric vehicle manufacturer in Taiwan. This has spurred discussions to launch the company’s electric vehicle. According to reports, Hero MotoCorp is also working on a swappable battery model along with a fixed battery-electric model. Gogoro is enlisting the help of this company. No official information about this scooter has come to light yet. The company may also launch an electric model of the famous scooter Maestro.

5) Ather Maxi Scooter

Ether Energy is a big name in the electric scooter segment. The company is now gearing up to launch its first electric scooter in the local market. The company has also filed a patent. It is clear from the patent photo that it will have attractive features with large windscreen, bolt front apron and long seats. The company can use the same battery pack that is currently available in 450X in this scooter.
